The C1s are a bit of a dud slot which is why you can basically put whatever you want in them. the drain on the capacitor is too significant.Īlso worth noting is that the C2 MCs have a longer range as well as doing more damage at that range than any other turreted alternative. I've previously run beams in this slot but they will interfere with your ability to get out your alpha forward damage with the pulses so it's not a great choice. The C2 slot is an excellent slot for turrets for smaller craft because they have an insane arc of fire. that leaves us with 2 open C2s and 2 open C1s. Given that the magic number for the Conda is the 4x C3s. the aim should be to cram as many fixed or gimballed pulse lasers as what can sustainably be fired forwards. which burn down shields and hull about a billion times faster than what you're suggesting.įor balanced DPS on both hulls and shields. The MCs in this build basically never run out of ammo because you'd only ever need to use them to finish off fleeing small ships or to quickly burn down a deshielded large ship if you were sustaining fire. given we want to be alpha striking with our pulses it makes no sense to run beams as well. You'll DPS faster and more efficiently with gimbal or fixed pulse.īeams hit hard at close range but suffer the worst drop off over distance and drain capacitor insanely quickly. If absolutely necessary for your budget (or jump range) you can downsize the power distributor but this comes at the expense of a much lower firing time on the pulses. I don't recommend chaff on a Conda even against NPCs. (This will facilitate the larger PP which will drive the cost up significantly) Similarly can be swapped for Heat Sinks if you wish to run SCBs in your 5 and 6 slots. The Cannons at least fire instantly and apply their damage quickly. by the time they spool up the target is out of range quite often. I find the C1-MCs underperform because of their abysmal range. If you're a reasonable pilot please consider using fixed pulses as the Anaconda in FA-off is plenty maneuverable. This will happily RES or CZ farm for days.
